This Monday night (March 13th), Earle Plain, our regional Air Quality Meteorologist, and Dr. Charmaine Enns, our Medical Health Officer, will be presenting to the Cumberland Council.
A lot of the focus will be on the data from the temporary monitor that was set up in Cumberland this winter. However, Dr. Enns will also talk about health impacts of wood smoke.
The Council Chambers are at 2675 Dunsmuir Avenue and the meeting is open to the public. It starts at 5:30 and the air quality presentations are the first item on the agenda (after agenda and minutes approval).
Upcoming Air Quality Forum
While you’re at it, put April 4th, 4-7pm, on your calendar. There will be an Elected Officials Forum on Air Quality with multiple presentations. The public can come as observers (CVRD board room on Comox Road). Stay tuned for more details.
